Attention:
New Requirements for Becoming a Registered Interior Designer in Nevada
At the January 2002 meeting of the Nevada State Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Residential Design, the Board voted to revise the examination requirements for Registered Interior Design candidates. The new requirements are:
Full
passage of the October 2000 NCIDQ exam (or later)
Passage of any prior version
of NCIDQ
AND
Passage of the Nevada
Supplemental Exam
***To qualify to be exempt from taking the Nevada
Supplemental Exam, a candidate must have passed all three sections of the NCIDQ
exam since October 2000. Credit for this exemption will not be given for
earlier versions of the NCIDQ.***
Do You Qualify?
Here are some examples:
A candidate has taken and
passed all three sections of the NCIDQ since October 2000.
This candidate does not have to take the Nevada
Supplemental Exam for registration in Nevada.
A candidate has taken and
passed all sections of the NCIDQ prior to October 2000.
This candidate must
pass the Nevada Supplemental Exam to become registered in Nevada (or pass the
new NCIDQ exam).
A candidate took two sections
of the old exam and received credit, from NCIDQ, for Section I of the new exam
(October 2000). After passing Sections II and III of the new exam, the
candidate was certified by NCIDQ.
This candidate must
pass the Nevada Supplement Exam to become registered in Nevada, or he/she must
take and pass Section I of the new NCIDQ exam.
